What is Adjective Clause?

Meaning
Adjective clause is a clause in a compound or complex sentence (kalimat majemuk) that describes a thing (subject or object) in the sentence.

Kinds of Adjective Clauses
Describing someone:
Someone who makes scientific studies on wild plants is a botanist.
Seseorang yang melakukan penelitian ilmiah tentang tumbuhan liar disebut sebagai botanis.

  • Note: To describe someone, we use who, that, whom, and whose.

Describing something:
A part of tree which consists of leaves, branches, and twigs is a trunk.
Bagian pohon yang terdiri dari daun, cabang, dan ranting adalah batang.
